Finally a writer sharing his… hmmm… it’s not a path to publishing… but he got published! That’s the main idea. It’s an entertaining read, even if it’s a blog post and that is not saying blog posts can’t be entertaining but just as surprising as finding points men on duty at an intersection where the traffic lights are out – at least it is in South Africa.
So many good ideas and links from OneFour KidLit that you can spend hours there… so here’s one for procrastinating reading someone else’s work instead of writing your own.

“Path” is a little bit too generous a word for my trip to publication. Path implies some kind of direction.
For me, it was more like waking up in the middle of a bleak and windswept moor, and then wandering about dazed until I finally stumbled to a shelter. Or something like that.
